Extra Details:: The protein encoded by this gene is a heat stable, nuclear protein and functions as a molecular chaperone. It is thought to regulate dimerization, DNA binding, and transcriptional activity of basic region-leucine zipper (bZIP) proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, ChIP, Electron Microscopy. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry(Paraffin): 1ug/ml. Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 1:50. PubMed: 17103222 Western Blot: 1:1500. Detects a band of approximately 32kD (predicted molecular weight: 27kD). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
