MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. Recognises canine CD44, also known as H-CAM, a single-pass type 1 membrane of ~90kD expressed by most leucocytes and epithelial cells. CD44 expression is markedly increased upon cell activation (Alldinger et al. 2000). CD44 is involved in cell-cell, cell adhesion and cell migration and is the principal cellular receptor for hyaluronate via it's LINK domain, additionally CD44 also interacts with other ligands including collagens and metalloproteinases. Studies have demonstrated that altered CD44 expression is detected in a many forms of invasive and metasic cancers, CD44 expression has been observed on canine mammary and melanocytic tumors (Serra et al. 2004). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:20 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
