Extra Details:: Troponin C is a part of the troponin complex. It contains four calcium-binding EF hands. It is a component of thin filaments (along with actin and tropomyosin). It contains an N lobe and a C lobe. The C lobe serves a structural purpose and binds to the N domain of TnI. The C lobe can bind either Ca2+ or Mg2+. The tissue specific subtypes are slow troponin C, and fast troponin C. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
