Extra Details:
Ung, also known as uracil-DNA glycosylase, is to prevent mutagenesis by eliminating uracil from DNA molecules by cleaving the N-glycosylic bond and initiating the base-excision repair (BER) pathway. Uracil bases occur from cytosine deamination or misincorporation of duMP residues. After a mutation occurs, the mutagenic threat of uracil propagates through any subsequent DNA replication steps. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-229 from E.coli Ung, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~28.1kD (252aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
