- Extra Details:
- Small VCP/p97-interacting protein, also known as SVIP, is involved in a variety of cellular processes, including membrane fusion and ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation. SVIP functions as an inhibitor of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway. Overexpression of SVIP, on the other hand, increased the levels of p62 protein and enhanced starvation-activated autophagy as well as promoted sequestration of polyubiquitinated proteins and p62 in autophagosomes. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-77 from human SVIP, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~10.8kD (100aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
