- SPRED1 is a member of the Sprouty family of proteins and is phosphorylated by tyrosine kinase in response to several growth factors. This protein can act as a homodimer or as a heterodimer with SPRED2 to regulate activation of the MAP kinase cascade. Defects in this gene are a cause of neurofibromatosis type 1-like syndrome (NFLS). Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-444 from human SPRED1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~52.9kD (467aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
