Extra Details:: MLF1IP, also known as centromere, is a specialized chromatin domain, present throughout the cell cycle that acts as a platform on which the transient assembly of the kinetochore occurs during mitosis. It plays an important role in the correct PLK1 localization to the mitotic kinetochores. It is a scaffold protein responsible for the initial recruitment and maintenance of the kinetochore PLK1 population until its degradation. It also involved in transcriptional repression. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa147-418 from human MLF1IP protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~33.7kD (295aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
