Extra Details:
Methionine aminopeptidase 1D, mitochondrial precursor, also known as METAP1D, is a 335aa mitochondrial protein that belongs to the peptidase M24A family. It is overexpressed in colon cancer cell lines, suggesting a role in tumorigenesis. METAP1D has also been found to remove methionine from the N-terminus of nascent proteins. METAP1D binds two cobalt ions per subunit and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 2q31.1. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa20-335 from human METAP1D protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~37.4kD (339aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
