- KLK7 is a member of the Kruppel-like transcriptional regulator family. Members in this family regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, survival and the development of nervous systems and contain three C2H2 zinc fingers at the C-terminus that mediate binding to GC-rich sites. KLF7 is binds specifically to an Ikaros core binding element that is crucial for in vivo NTRK1/TrkA enhancer function. This protein may contribute to the progression of type 2 diabetes by inhibiting insulin expression and secretion in pancreatic beta-cells and by deregulating adipocytokine secretion in adipocytes. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
