Extra Details:: IL2 (Interleukin2), also known as T cell growth factor (TCGF), is an immunoregulatory lymphokine produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation. IL2/IL-2R signaling is required for T-cell proliferation and other fundamental functions which are essential for the immune response. IL2 stimulates growth and differentiation of B-cells, NK cells, lymphokine activated killer cells, monocytes, macrophages and oligodendrocytes. Recombinant mouse IL2 was purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa21-169 from mouse IL2 expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~17.3kD (150aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Endotoxin: <1.0Eu/1 microgram of protein (determined by LAL method) Biological Activity: Measured in a cell proliferation assay using CTLL-2 mouse T lymphocyte. The ED50 for this effect is <0.9ng/ml. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
