- Extra Details:
- D-gluconate kinase, thermosensitive, also known as idnk, is an 187aa protein that belongs to the gluconokinase gntK/gntV family and catalyzes the conversion of ATP and D-gluconate to ADP and 6-phospho-D-gluconate. This protein is thought to play a role in gender determination, deletion of the distal portion of 9p can lead to development of male to female sex reversal, the phenotype of a female with a male X, Y genotype. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-187 from E.coli idnk, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~23.4kD (210aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
