Extra Details:: ICAM1, also known as intercellular adhesion molecule 1, is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. They are important in inflammation, immune responses and in intracellular signalling events. It is known to bind to leucocyte integrins CD11/CD18 such as LFA-1 and Macrophage-1 antigen, during inflammation and in immune responses. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa28-480 from human ICAM1, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, expressed in Insect cells. Uniprot/Swiss Accession: P05362 Molecular Weight: ~76.5kD (692aa), 70-100kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.) Biological Activity: Measured by the ability of the immobilized protein to support the adhesion of HL-60 human promyelocytic cells. When cells are added to Human ICAM-1/CD54 coated plates, the ED50 range ≤2ug/ml. Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
