Extra Details:: Golgi membrane protein 1, also known as GOLM1, is a type II Golgi transmembrane protein. It processes protein synthesized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum and assists in the transport of protein cargo through the Golgi apparatus. The expression of this encoded protein has been observed to be upregulated in response to viral infection. Furthermore, because GOLM1 is so uniquely regulated in cells, it can be successfully used as a clinically relevant molecular biomarker for cancer. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa36-401 from human GOLM1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~44kD (389aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear higher) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
