- Extra Details:
- Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(I)/G(S)/G(O) subunit gamma-4 precursor, also known as GNG4, are members of a multigene family and are implicated in determining the specificity of receptor-G protein interaction. In mammals, G protein alpha, beta and gamma polypeptides are encoded by at least 16, 4 and 7 genes, respectively. GNG4 is becoming increasingly clear that different G protein complexes expressed in different tissues carry structurally distinct members of the gamma as well as the alpha and beta subunits and that preferential association between members of subunit families increase G protein functional diversity. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-72 from human GNG4 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~10.4kD (95aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
