Extra Details:: Eukaryotic elongation factor-2 kinase, also known as EEF2K, is threonine kinase that regulates protein synthesis by controlling the rate of peptide chain elongation. upon activation by a variety of upstream kinases including AMPK or TRPM7, phosphorylates the elongation factor EEF2 at a single site, renders it unable to bind ribosomes and thus inactive. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-725 from human EEF2K, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~84.6kD (748aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
