Extra Details:
Cyclin-dependent kinase 2, also known as CDK2, phosphorylates CTNNB1, uSP37, p53/TP53, NPM1, CDK7, RB1, BRCA2, MYC, NPAT, EZH2. This protein acts at the G1-S transition to promote the E2F transcriptional program and the initiation of DNA synthesis, and modulates G2 progression; controls the timing of entry into mitosis/meiosis by controlling the subsequent activation of cyclin B/CDK1 by phosphorylation, and coordinates the activation of cyclin B/CDK1 at the centrosome and in the nucleus. This protein is crucial role in orchestrating a fine balance between cellular proliferation, cell death, and DNA repair in human embryonic stem cells (hESCs). Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-298 from human CDK2, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, expressed in Insect cells. Molecular Weight: ~34.9kD (306aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
