- Extra Details:
- The APOBEC4 is a member of the AID/APOBEC family of polynucleotide (deoxy)cytidine deaminases, which convert cytidine to uridine. Other AID/APOBEC family members are involved in Mrna editing, somatic hypermutation and recombination of immunoglobulin genes, and innate immunity to retroviral infection. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-367 from human APOBEC4, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~44kD (390aa) Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
