- Extra Details:
- AckA catalyzes the formation of acetyl phosphate from acetate and ATP. This protein can also catalyze the reverse reaction. During anaerobic growth of the organism, this enzyme is also involved in the synthesis of most of the ATP formed catabolically. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-400 from E.coli AckA, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~45.7kD (423aa) Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
