Extra Details:: CYP4F11 encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein is part of a cluster of cytochrome P450 genes on chromosome 19. Another member of this family, CYP4F2, is approximately 16 kb away. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:10 Immunohistochemistry: 1:5. Antigen retrieval: microwave 20 min @ 800W in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Immunohistochemistry: formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded liposarcoma sections. Bestern blot: kidney cell lysates Hybridoma: Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
