Extra Details:: The Janus family of tyrosine kinases (JAK) includes JAK1, JAK2, JAK3 and Tyk2. This family associates with a variety of cytokine receptors and is activated by ligand binding. Upon ligand binding to cytokine receptors, JAKs phosphorylate themselves and their associated receptors. This provides multiple binding sites for signaling proteins containing SH2 or other phospho-tyrosine-binding domains, including STATs, Shc, insulin receptor substrates and FAK. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 10ug immunoprecipitated JAK2 from RAW264.7 cell lysate. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control: RAW264.7 cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
