Extra Details:: IL-6 is a cytokine with a wide variety of biological functions: it plays an essential role in the final differentiation of B-cells into Ig-secreting cells, it induces myeloma and plasmacytoma growth, it induces nerve cells differentiation, in hepatocytes it induces acute phase reactants. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Neutralizing Assay: 20pg of antibody neutralizes the activity of 1U of IL-6. It is recommended that the sodium azide is removed from the antibody prior to use in this application. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
