Extra Details:
MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000. Calnexin is a Ca++ binding protein found in ER transmembranes that binds to specific n-linked oligosaccharides found on newly synthesized proteins. Calnexin associates with the ER membrane phosphoglycoprotein, signal sequence receptor SSRu, and has been identified as the ER protein associated with major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I heavy chain and with the T-cell receptor and membrane immunoglobulin before assembly of these multimeric complexes. Hence, calnexin may represent a molecular chaperone in the ER membrane that is selective for incompletely folded oligomeric membrane proteins newly translocated to the ER. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:10,000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:1000-1:2000 Immunocytochemistry: 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control: Human brain tissue lysate Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
