Extra Details:: VEGFR2 is the major VEGF receptor in human malignancies. VEGFR2 is highly expressed in colon cancer endothelium and relates to increased tumor vascularity and high metastatic ability. Binding of VEGF to VEGFR2 on endothelial cells results in receptor phosphorylation and triggering of a cascade of events leading to endothelial cell proliferation, migration, apoptosis inhibition and maturation of vascular structures. Human VEGFR2 gene is mapped to chromosome 4q11-q12. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:50 Western Blot: 1:400-1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-400 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
