Extra Details:: The gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that acts as inhibitors of serine proteases. These proteins function in the regulation of a variety of physiological processes, including coagulation, fibrinolysis, development, malignancy, and inflammation. Expression of the encoded protein may be downregulated during pancreatic carcinogenesis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants for this gene. (provided by RefSeq, Jan 2013) Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
