Extra Details:: The Receptor for Advanced Glycation Endproducts (RAGE) is also known as the Advanced glycosylation end product-specific receptor (AGER). RAGE is expressed in endothelial cells and interacts with many molecules including advanced glycosylation end products (AGE) and amyloid beta peptide. 2 RAGE isoforms are produced by alternative splicing. Isoform 1 is a single-pass type I membrane protein whereas isoform 2 is secreted. Applications: Suitable for use in Neutralization and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
