- Extra Details:
- A precursor of insulin it is converted to insulin by removal of the connecting C peptide, leaving the two (A and B) chains. From every molecule of proinsulin, one molecule of insulin plus one molecule of C Peptide are produced. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000-1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
