Extra Details:: Presenilin-1 (PSEN1) is a multi-pass membrane protein and component of the gamma-secretase complex. PSEN1 is thought to play a role in intracellular signaling and gene expression or in linking chromatin to the nuclear membrane. It may also play a role in hematopoiesis. Defects in PSEN1 are a cause of Alzheimer disease type 3 (AD3), a familial early-onset form of Alzheimer disease (Ref:SWISS-Prot). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:20-200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
