- Integrin a4b7 is composed of a 150kD (a4 or CD49d) and a 130kD (b7) heterodimer, also known as CD49d/b7, or LPAM-1. It belongs to Ig superfamily found on majority of peripheral lymphocytes and subsets of thymocytes and bone marrow cells (including mast cell progenitors). Integrin a4b7 binds its ligands, VCAM-1 (CD106), MAdCAM-1 and fibronectin, and plays an important role in lymphocytes adhesion and helps direct the migration of blood lymphocytes to the intestine and associated lymphoid tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:200 Immunohistochemistry(Paraffin): 1:100-1:400 Immunoprecipitation: 1:100-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
