Extra Details:: GFR alpha -1, -2, -3, and -4 are GPI-anchored receptors that interact preferentially with the GDNF family ligands GDNF, Neurturin, Artemin, and Persephin, respectively. GFR alpha proteins initiate signaling in association with the receptor tyrosine kinase RET and by RET-independent pathways. GFR alpha-mediated signaling is instrumental in the differentiation, migration, and support of central and peripheral neurons. Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms of GFR alpha proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry(Frozen): 1:50-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
