Extra Details:: Galectins are a family of animal lectins with functions in growth regulation and cell adhesion that bind beta-Gal residues in oligosaccharides. They also participate in cross-linking activities with multivalent glycoconjugate receptors. Galectin-7's are associated with the development of chemically induced mammary carcinomas and are expressed in aggressive lymphoma. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
