Extra Details:: FGF binding protein (FGF-BP) was originally identified as a 17 kDa low-affinity heparin-binding protein in the conditioned medium of human A431 epidermoid carcinoma cells that bind FGF acidic and basic in a non-covalent, reversible manner. Rat FGF-BP cDNA encodes a 238 amino acid residue (aa) precursor protein with a 33 aa signal peptide. All FGF-BPs share ten conserved cysteine residues which form five intracellular disufide bridges. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
