Extra Details:: Cathepsin B, iis a lysosomal protease expressed in a wide range of tissues, including liver, skeletal muscle and heart. Cathepsin B plays a role in protein degradation and has also been shown to activate urokinase type plasminogen activator (uPA) and certain matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
