Extra Details:: Cathepsin family of proteases contains several diverse classes of enzymes. The cysteine protease class comprises cathepsin B, H, K, L, O, and S. The aspartyl protease class contains cathepsin D and E. Cathepsin G belongs to the serine protease class. Cathepsins are involved in various cellular events such as peptide biosynthesis, protein degradation, and apoptosis. Cathepsin S has been shown to be present in aveloar macrophages. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
