Extra Details:: PTMA (prothymosin alpha) is the precursor of thymosin a1. It is an acidic, non-histone nuclear protein with aa109-111. PTMA is implicated with cell cycle regulation, chromatin remodeling, expression of oxidative stress-response genes and immuno-modulation. PTMA is elevated in malignances such as breast cancer, gastric cancer, prostate and bladder cancers. PTMA is a potential biomarker for the prognosis of cancer treatment. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
