- Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 7, otherwise known as CD328, a putative adhesion molecule and member of the Ig superfamily, is predominantly expressed by both resting and activated natural killer (NK) cells, and also at lower levels by monocytes, granulocytes, monocyte-derived macrophages and dendritic cells, and a small population of CD8+ memory T cells. Classed as a CD33-related Siglec, Siglec-7 preferentially binds to glycoconjugates containing alpha-2,3- or alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid, and acts as a novel inhibitory receptor for NK cells, mediating the inhibition of NK cell cytotoxicity, and implicated in the regulation of NK cell and T cell activation, and hematopoiesis. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:25-1:200, 10ul labels 10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Endotoxin: <0.01EU/ug Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
