- Extra Details:
- Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 7, otherwise known as CD328, a putative adhesion molecule and member of the Ig superfamily, is predominantly expressed by both resting and activated natural killer (NK) cells, and also at lower levels by monocytes, granulocytes, monocyte-derived macrophages and dendritic cells, and a small population of CD8+ memory T cells. Classed as a CD33-related Siglec, Siglec-7 preferentially binds to glycoconjugates containing alpha-2,3- or alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid, and acts as a novel inhibitory receptor for NK cells, mediating the inhibition of NK cell cytotoxicity, and implicated in the regulation of NK cell and T cell activation, and hematopoiesis. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: neat, 1:10, use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
