Extra Details:: SFRP1 (Secreted Frizzled-Related Protein-1) is a widely expressed multi-functional secreted protein, and member of the sFRP family, which act as soluble modulators of Wnt signalling, playing an important role in embryonic development, and in proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis in adult tissues. SFRP1 acts as a promoter of Wnt-induced effects at lower concentrations, and as a negative regulator at high concentrations, and has been implicated as a tumor suppressor protein in several human malignancies, including colorectal, breast, bladder, and ovarian cancer. Recombinant Human sFRP-1 is a glycosylated 283 amino acid protein containing a cysteine-rich Frizzled homologous domain, expressed in HeLa cells. Molecular Weight: ~32.5kD Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to inhibit BMP-2 proliferation effect of ATDC-5 cells, with an expected ED50 of 0.3-0.5ug/ml.
