- MHC Class II Monomorphic was classified at the First Canine Leucocyte Antigen Workshop (Cobbold et al. 1994).The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In dogs, this is referred to as the dog leukocyte antigen (DLA) region. MHC Class II immunoprecipitates an antigen of ~32-34kD and blocks the proliferation of MHC Class II dependent responses in vitro. In dogs, MHC Class II is expressed by all peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100. 10ul labels 1x10e6 cells in 100ul. Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Y3/Ag1.2.3 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
