Extra Details:: IL-10 is an immunosuppressive cytokine produced by a variety of mammalian cell types including macrophages, monocytes, T cells, B cells and keratinocytes. IL-10 inhibits the expression of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1 and TNF-α. Like IL-4, IL-10 enhances humoral immune responses and attenuates cell-mediated immune reactions. Human IL-10 is active on murine cells, but murine IL-10 is inactive on human cells. Recombinant mouse IL-10 is an 18.7kD protein of 161 amino acid residues. Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Interleukin-10 expressed in E. coli. The ED50 was found to be ≤2ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥5x10e5units/mg. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
