Extra Details:
CD152, commonly known as CTLA-4 (cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4), a structural homolog for CD28. CD152 binds the same ligands as CD28, namely CD80 (B7.1) and CD86 (B7.2), but with much higher affinity. However, while binding of CD28 enhances T cell function, binding of CD152 inhibits it. CD152 is not detected on naïve Tcells and is induced upon Tcell activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
