- CD152, commonly known as CTLA-4 (cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4), a structural homolog for CD28. CD152 binds the same ligands as CD28, namely CD80 (B7.1) and CD86 (B7.2), but with much higher affinity. However, while binding of CD28 enhances T cell function, binding of CD152 inhibits it. CD152 is not detected on naïve Tcells and is induced upon Tcell activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, FLISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
