Extra Details:: SARS Coronavirus is an enveloped virus containing three outer structural proteins, namely the membrane (M), envelope (E), and spike (S) proteins. Spike (S)-glycoprotein of the virus interacts with a cellular receptor and mediates membrane fusion to allow viral entry into susceptible target cells. Accordingly, S-protein plays an important role in virus infection cycle and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to the immunodominant regions of SARS Associated Coronavirus Nucleocaspid core, aa1-49, expressed in E. coli. Specificity: Immunoreactive with sera of SARS-infected individuals. Molecular Weight: ~32kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and as an Antigen for detection. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
