Extra Details:
This gene encodes class II alcohol dehydrogenase 4 pi subunit, which is a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase family. Members of this enzyme family metabolize a wide variety of substrates, including ethanol, retinol, other aliphatic alcohols, hydroxysteroids, and lipid peroxidation products. Class II alcohol dehydrogenase is a homodimer composed of 2 pi subunits. It exhibits a high activity for oxidation of long-chain aliphatic alcohols and aromatic alcohols and is less sensitive to pyrazole. This gene is localized to chromosome 4 in the cluster of alcohol dehydrogenase genes. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and RNAi Knockdown. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. AA Sequence: SVIDSKFEGLAFPVIVGHEAAGIVESIGPGVTNVKPGDKVIPLYAPLCRKCKFCLSPLTNLCGKISNLKSPASDQQLMEDKTSRFTCKGKPVYHFFGTS Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.  For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.  Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
