Extra Details:: Interleukin 6 receptor (IL-6R; CD126) is a type I cytokine receptor, which is a protein complex consisting of an IL-6 receptor subunit (IL-6R) and interleukin 6 signal transducer glycoprotein 130 (gp130). It is a potent pleiotropic cytokine that regulates cell growth and differentiation and plays an important role in immune response. Dysregulated production of IL-6 and IL-6R are implicated in the pathogenesis of many diseases, such as multiple myeloma, autoimmune diseases and prostate cancer. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa20-357at the extracellular domain of mouse IL-6R, fused to the N-terminus of the Fc region of mouse IgG2a, expressed in CHO cells. \ Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
