- Extra Details:
- Activin Receptor IIB (ACTR-IIB) is a transmembrane receptor that forms an activin receptor complex with activin type-1 receptors (ACVR1, ACVR1B or ACVR1c). ACTR-IIB transduces the activin signal from the cell surface to the cytoplasm and regulates therefore many physiological and pathological processes including neuronal differentiation and neuronal survival, hair follicle development and cycling, FSH production by the pituitary gland, wound healing, extracellular matrix production, immunosuppression and carcinogenesis. Activin is also thought to have a paracrine or autocrine role in follicular development in the ovary. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:400 Western Blot: 1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
