- Extra Details:
- Crustacean cardioactive peptide (CCAP) is a potent cardioexcitatory substance, originally identified in the pericardial organs of the shore crab, Carcinus means. It also modulates the neuronal activity in other arthropods. A CCAP-related new peptide family, the molluscan CCAP (M-CCAP) has been isolated and characterized from the snail Helix pomatia (Muneoka et al. 1994). Structural differences between the crustacean CCAP and the molluscan peptides are restricted only to the amidatedend of the molecules. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Molecular Weight: ~956.13g/mol Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
