- MTBE, methyl-tert-butylether is used in the laboratory as a solvent. In addition it is used as an additive for gasoline. It is found as a contaminant in ground water and as such poses a threat for the production of drinking water. Applications: The antibody may be used in Affinity Chromatography. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: The titer of the antibody solution is 2000, which means that the antibody should be diluted 2000 times for 50% binding. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
