- MAb MTC02 recognizes a 60kDa antigen associated with the mitochondria in human cells. It is a part of a new panel of reagents, which recognizes subcellular organelles or compartments of human cells. These markers may be useful in identification of these organelles in cells, tissues, and biochemical preparations. MAb MTC02 recognizes an antigen associated with the mitochondria in human cells only. It can be used to stain the mitochondria in cell or tissue preparations and can be used as a mitochondrial marker in subcellular fractions. It produces a spaghetti-like pattern in normal and malignant cells and may be used to stain mitochondria of cells in fixed or frozen tissue sections. It can also be used with paraformaldehyde fixed frozen tissue or cell preparations. MAb MTC02 is an excellent marker for human cells in xenographic model research. It reacts specifically with human cells, including neurons and embryonic stem cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 0.5-1ug/ml Western Blot: 0.25-0.5ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 0.5-1ug/500ug protein lysate Immunohistochemistry: Frozen & Formalin-fixed: 0.5-1ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 1mM EDTA Buffer, pH 8.5-9.5, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa or HepG2 cells. Hepatic carcinoma. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. APC is light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
