- PhosphoTyrosine detects phophorylated Tyrosines. Tyrosine is one of the 22aa that are used by cells to synthesize proteins. Tyrosine has a phenol group. It functions as a receiver of phosphate groups that are transferred by way of protein kinases. Phosphorylation of the hydroxyl group changes the activity of the target protein. PhosphoTyrosine is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, Neuroscience, Immunology, Cancer research and Signal Transduction research. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000 Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
