Extra Details:
Phosphoserine detects phophorylated serines. Serine is one of the proteinogenic aa’s. By virtue of the hydroxyl group, serine is classified as a polar aa. It is not essential to the human diet, since it is synthesized in the body from other metabolites, including glycine. Serine is important in metabolism in that it participates in the biosynthesis of purines and pyrimidines. It is the precursor to several aa’s including glycine and cysteine, and tryptophan in bacteria. It is also the precursor to numerous other metabolites, including sphingolipids and folate, which is the principal donor of one-carbon fragments in biosynthesis. Phospho serine is ideal for investigators involved in cell signaling, neuroscience, immunology, cancer research and signal transduction research. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:1000-1:2500 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Immunoprecipitation: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
